How could the nana miss the first, and possibly last (if their dad has his way), ballet recital? SHE COULDN'T! I had a great time as usual seeing as much family as possible in Utah in the three days that I was there. Thanks to everyone for making it possible. I flew in on Wednesday night, May 19, and flew out early on Sunday morning, May 23, making it back to Columbus in time for our Seminary Graduation. Nic and Steff are fabulous hosts - great food, great accomodations, great company, great exercise partners, THEY HAVE SO MUCH ENERGY! Brooklyn, Camryn, and Kendyl offered lots of entertainment - lots of jumping on the trampoline, swinging on swings, riding bikes in the driveway, coloring pictures, playing in the sandbox, and of course asking for stories to be read and songs to be sung. SO MUCH FUN! Ashley always spoils me - transporting me to wherever I need to go, visiting with me late in the night, bringing delicious treats, giving me new hair, shopping with me! My mom and as many sisters as could gather at the last minute are always fun to spend time with. Steff had Brooklyn and Camryn there for a while. Ashley came for a while. Nichole was there for the midnight visit! This time we just relaxed at Leslie's home, ate delicious salads and then chinese food, made earrings thanks to Yvett's collection of gems, cut out MY quilt fabric (so much thanks everyone!), watched Invictus, and of course visited about anything and everything until 4 a.m. It was fabulous! We missed those who couldn't be there. Next time we will try to plan sooner to accomodate everyone's schedules. The real reason for the trip was the dance recital. I hope that I can get my video to transfer. I have a hard time with that. If I can't then you will just have to enjoy Nic & Steff's blog with their video on it.
P.S. I couldn't get the video I want on here, but here is this one (and sorry it is sideways - I can't change that!)
