Swimming at the Club without The Nana

On Monday, the weather was finally nice enough to go to the swimming pool.  And wouldn't you know, I had to be at work.  Ashley, Hudson, Sean, and papa went and enjoyed lots of splashing at the pool.
We have had so much fun having them visit.  Tomorrow they will return to Utah.  We will miss them.  It has been so great to watch Hudson try to imitate absolutely everything that happens to him!  I know this can be a little dangerous, but it is sure cute!

Sunday afternoon Bubblefest

Lyle had fun with these bubbles on Memorial Day at Matt and Michelle Checks' home.  He saved some to share with Hudson today!  Kids and grown-ups alike enjoy bubbles - especially big ones!

Dillon State Park and Zanesville Country Club

Saturday morning we had a leisurely walk around the block at the state park.  Hudson loved the swing and the walk was beautiful.  Somehow we convinced Uncle Sean to go with us!

 We had to swing through Krogers on our way home so Ashley could get groceries for the meal she is going to treat us with tomorrow!

Genji's and The Columbus Ohio Temple

On Friday night, June 1, we enjoyed some Genji's Japanese Steakhouse food and then attended the temple with Sean.  It was a wonderful evening!

 Hudson was just fine until they lit the fire.  He didn't like that one bit!  After the first, time he had an understanding of when another flame was coming, and he was extremely concerned.

After our session at the temple, we all met at Cold Stone in Hilliard for ice cream.  Bishop Fuhriman, Rachel, Dave, Shirlie, and Adam Wilson, joined us.  Mark and Diane Pumphrey couldn't come because they had to hurry to the airport.  We had a nice visit with everyone and appreciated their support.

Ashley and Hudson Visit Cedar Point with Us

Ashley wanted to enjoy one last visit with Sean at Cedar Point before he leaves for his mission.  So she flew in last night with Hudson for the adventure!
It was kind of a chilly day, if the wind blew.  Otherwise it was comfortable and we hit as many rides as we could in the 6 1/2 hours that we were there.  Hudson and Papa were great sports as they mostly just strolled around the park - Hudson not being big enough for any rides and Papa not stomaching most of the rides.

Doesn't look so impressive, but when you are launched from zero to 122 MPH in less than 4 seconds and then a few seconds later you"re 420 feet in the air, it is quite an adrenaline thrill!  The ride lasts 17 seconds.
It's a blast!

After a hard, long day... a relaxing ride home.
